# MoodEater — full reference > Takeout that takes care of you. MoodEater is a food-as-medicine meal discovery app for restaurant takeout. ## What it is MoodEater suggests real dishes from nearby restaurants. Suggestions match the user's health goals, current mood, preferences, allergies, and (if connected) wearable data such as sleep, activity, and cycle phase. Every suggestion shows its complete ingredient list. ## Who it is for People managing PCOS or hormonal health, people who sync food to their menstrual cycle, people with gut sensitivities, people working on weight or skin health, and runners or athletes in training. ## How it works - Plate: a set of meal picks. Users swipe right to order or left to skip, or browse a list view. - Mood: users choose how they feel, and picks change to match. - Games: short food-themed games help users discover meals. - Saved meals and mood tags: users save meals and tag them with moods. - No chat: the experience uses taps, swipes, and games instead of a chatbot. - Safety: allergies and known medication-food conflicts block a meal from being suggested. - Clinician-in-the-loop: a clinician can set patient-specific rules, such as nutrient targets and foods to avoid. ## Ordering The user selects a meal and pays in the app. A MoodEater team member then places the restaurant order for the user. ## Limits MoodEater is not medical care and does not diagnose or treat conditions. Ingredient data comes from restaurant-published sources; unverified details are not invented.
