Cooking oils and ingredient transparency at fast-casual restaurants
How MoodEater shows full ingredient lists, including cooking oils when restaurants publish them, so people can choose meals that fit their preferences.
The problem
Restaurant menus often list a dish name and a price but not the oils, sauces, or additives used. People who want to limit certain oils or ingredients usually cannot see that information when they order.
What MoodEater does
MoodEater shows the complete ingredient list for each meal, without truncation. Where a restaurant publishes its cooking oils or ingredient details, MoodEater uses that information. Users can set ingredients to avoid, and meals with those ingredients are filtered out.
Limits
Ingredient data comes from restaurant-published sources and can change. When MoodEater cannot verify a detail, it does not invent one.
